Love for the mural, it's making process and the Delhi-based street artist, Akhlaq Ahmad from Cartist, who has done a fantastic work in creating the beautiful wall mural at the Ram Nagar Metro Station. The Jaipur Metro has collaborated with Cartist, which is a local group of youngsters trying to promote street art. As a result you can see some beautifully painted walls that youngsters are using as their brand new photo and Selfie backdrops in the pink city!

Artist Akhlaq Ahmad behind the artwork at Gate No. 1 of the Ram Nagar metro station says, “Jaipur is culturally so rich that one can't help but fall in love with its ethnicity. I got my inspiration from the city itself. I have tried to portray the love of Jaipur people through my work." “I think it's a great initiative to promote the culture of street art and this has brought Jaipurites closer to this form of art. Also, a lot of artists prefer to show their work at such public platforms as they get a larger audience here."

Another artist Shrikant Ranga from Jaipur itself has worked on the Gate No. 2 of the Ram Nagar metro station. A Rajasthani at Heart, Shrikant and team has created a beautiful mural portraying the folk culture of Rajasthan on the walls of Gate No. 2 of this metro station in Jaipur. Here is how it looks!

Now these artists from Jaipur are busy doing another wall mural at Shyam Nagar metro station, reflecting the importance of water preservation as Rajasthan is a state where water scarcity has been a matter of concern since ages. Delhi-based artist Arun is working on this one.
