The Delhi-Jaipur express highway would cost a whopping amount of Rs.18,000 crore, said Nitin Gadkari, the Union Road Minister. This Super Expressway is going to be the second advanced cement concrete highway in the country after the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The 225 km express highway will allow travelling at a speed of 125 km/hr, making it possible to reach Delhi from Jaipur in just one and a half hour. The work on this Delhi-Jaipur express highway is expected to finish within the next 15 months according to the recent high-level meeting at Dausa.
In order to allow vehicles to travel the 225 km stretch in 90 minutes, the speed limits would need to be upped by a significant margin. Thus, this new expressway will be access controlled to help maintain consistent high speed. The highway will have a speed limit of around 150 km/hr to achieve the claimed time limit of 90 minutes. For such high speeds the department will have to take care of a lot of safety concerns. but definitely the commuting time will get reduced significantly when compared to the time taken on NH8.

The new expressway between Gurugram and Jaipur will also have CCTVs installed for monitoring any rule violations on the highway. It will be very important for all commuters to be more cautious of road safety ethics when driving on such high speeds on the Delhi-Jaipur expressway. You must take special care of indicating lane changes, using the right indications during panic braking to prevent accidents and deaths on road and to provide all riders a good commuting experience.
