Rajasthan Day Celebrations to commence from 23-30 March in Jaipur

Jaipur has all geared up to celebrate Rajasthan Diwas or Rajasthan Day with several cultural programs. The program for Rajasthan Day celebrations will be organised from 23 March to 30 March 2017. The governing body is ready with all needed preparations for the same.

Attractions of the Day

According to information revealed so far, you can expect one of Bollywood's sensational singer, Mohit Chauhan to visit Jaipur for the Rajasthan Day celebrations here. Other than a delightful performance by Mohit Chauhan, major attraction would be the 'Fashion Show', which will be organised as a part of the whole celebrations. Models would carry attires designed by the famous fashion designer BiBi Rasail on ramp during the show.

The cultural programs will start off from March 23 but the celebrations would go on throughout the week including various festivities, cultural programmes, sports activities, competitions and exhibition. March 30 is the actual Foundation Day of Rajasthan. Some of the events that will take place during the Rajasthan Diwas celebrations are marathon, rural sports, cultural events, film shows, fashion shows, folk dances and singing, cycle race, children film festival, acrobatics team shows, tattoo shows, etc.

Some religious festivities will also be a part of it like the Gangaur procession, devotional singing, kawwali performances, recitations from scriptures and Gurubani recitals.

Closing ceremony

The closing ceremony of the celebration will take place on March 30 at Jan Path near the Rajasthan Assembly. And like every year, entry to museums in the Jaipur city will be offered for free on the Foundation Day - 30 March.
