Everyday colleges concerns, staff behaviour, hostel facilities and its complains and complications, campus environment etc. From anything to everything, the grievance redressal cell or a web portal in this case is soon going to be established for the students of National Institute of Technology’s in the country.

Human Resource Ministry has decided to set up this web portal for the grieving students and the obstacles faced by them routinely.

Students across the country from NITs, which are 31 in total will be able to report their problems of this web portal.

Committee:

A centralised team with a quorum of 5 has been set up for the establishment of this web portal. These 5 members will be familiarised with the problems faced by the students and will connect and inform the concerned department.

The web portal is estimated to be ready in the next 15 days. National Institute of Technology, Delhi has been handed over the responsibility of building up this web portal.

The chairman of the committee consisting of 5 people is the director of National Institute of Technology, Bhopal.

Other members of this committee are the NIT colleges of Delhi, Nagpur, Trichy and Jaipur.

Grievance Redressal System:

According to Professor Bhatt, the grievances of the students shall be addressed by the college at the primary step.

Even after this if the students express the same problems repeatedly, then the expert panel of the members will themselves look into the problem and cater to its solution.

Mr. Bhatt expresses that this web portal is planned to be developed in a similar way to the Prime Minister web portal for grievance redressal for the public, which is known by the name PRAGATI.

Process of filing a concern or problem:

Students of the college will be required to enter the details of their identity cards and log into the web portal. After logging into the web portal, students will be guided to fill in general details after which they can file a problem and report their concerns. As soon as the concern is live on the web portal, the team will be set to solve such issues and concerns of the students.
