Rajasthan Polo, Jaipur Polo game to be Now Enjoyed Indoors also in Jaipur


Good news for all Rajasthan polo players and Jaipur polo fans! After indoor SMS Stadium Jaipur (Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur) a new Indoor Polo stadium will introducing in City of Jaipur soon.

Rajasthan is always very famous for polo games. There is so many clubs like Rajasthan Polo, Rajasthan Polo clubs, Jaipur Polo Club, India Polo Club, Elephant Polo, Bicycle Polo. This is the game of royal families. SMS Stadium Jaipur also having indoor space for many different types of indoor games.

You can enjoy this royal game even in hot summers and drizzling weather as well.  World class indoor polo arena (multi-usage) at Organized Archery, Shooting and Equestrian Sports (OASES) complex is getting constructed in Jagatpura area. Originally initiated for construction 7 years ago, the construction work has geared up again. In the building, in the open area of roof, aluminium sheets shall be placed from aircrafts. Construction shall get complete in around 1 year. Responsibilities related to operations shall be fixed at state government level. Here 45 metres wide and 90 metres long stadium shall be made. Shooting range, archery and indoor polo shall be played under 1 roof.

Benefits for city and the players

Jaipur shall also place its name in indoor polo arena. Currently, this facility is available only in few major cities of country. Local talent shall get to learn the game here. Sports tourism shall develop rapidly in the city after commencement of arena.

Benefits of special roof

The roof shall not get damaged at least till 30 years. It is favourable for all weathers – winters, summers, and rains. Raining water shall not gather due to levelled roof. Modern look has been given to the roof which also makes it attractive.

Main features of the polo arena

  • Capacity of 1,300 spectators;
  • 12 commercial floors (each floor 300 square metres)
  • Total construction cost amounts to Rs. 60 crores;
  • Till Now - JDA had spent Rs 28.50 crore.
