Govind Dev Ji Corridor Will Have a New Plan; Pathways, Heritage Walk, and Shri Krishna Sculptures to Be Included
JDA will prepare the plan in 6 months and send it to the government.

The Govind Dev Ji corridor development plan, which has been stalled for three years, will now be prepared afresh. During discussions on Urban Development Department grant demands, Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra announced that the temple development will be carried out on the lines of the Mahakal Lok project.

Now, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) will prepare a new plan and proceed further after proposal approval. The corridor was originally announced by the previous Congress government in 2023–24. At that time, ₹120 crore was announced, and after tenders worth ₹15 crore for development works, the matter went into cold storage. For ₹100 crore worth of development works, only DPR (Detailed Project Report) was issued.

Old Plan Will Be Reviewed and Reshaped

The Jaipur Development Authority will prepare a proposal for the Govind Dev Ji temple corridor plan. It is estimated that the previously approved plan will be reviewed and replanned from scratch. The plan is being prepared to start work within 6 months. After finalization, it will be sent to the government for approval. Work will begin immediately after approval.

Previous Government Planned a 5 km Corridor

Under the previous government’s plan, the following were proposed:

  • Heritage walk and pathways
  • Shuttle buses for the temple
  • Heritage rooms
  • E-rickshaws and scooters to help elderly women reach the temple
  • Multi-storey parking
  • Musical fountain show
  • Krishna museum and spiritual center
  • Sculpture park depicting the life of Lord Shri Krishna

A 5 km corridor was planned around the temple.
