Rajasthani heritage and culture gleams at Gorband

Camels and gorbands (a decorative used for camel) has been the integral part of the Rajasthani culture. There have been numerous folk songs related to gorband composed by the Rajasthani singers that have displayed the purity and colours of Rajasthan folk culture.

On the lines of same, a function was organized in Birla Auditorium to re-live the feeling of “Dharti Dhora Ri”, the patriotic song of Rajasthan and some other folk songs that have been pillars of Rajasthan folk.

The picture revealed by the function was so glittering as if there was a live dance performance of the beautifully dressed culture.

Major glimpses of the function

The function was organised by E-TV in coordination with Veena Cassette and was inaugurated by Esteemed Governor of Rajasthan Mr. Kalyan Singh. Some other esteemed ministers, MLAs and VIPs increased the stardom of the function.

Gorband medley opened up the party in which the female dancers performed on Cham Cham Chamke Chundri, Marho Gorband Nakhralo, Dhola Dhol Majira Baje Re and Thare waaste re dhola. This performance was followed by performance of Sajid Khan on Kesriya Balam – another major depicter of the rich Rajasthani culture.

The function was covered by major media houses of the pink city and received good attendance of the culture lovers of capital city.
