Special on Pravasi Rajasthani Sammelan:
The fragrance of Rajasthan and the yearning of the migrant mind will together create history.
The first Pravasi Rajasthani Sammelan is being held on December 10th at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) complex in Sitapura, the Pink City of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. On behalf of the more than 80 million people of Rajasthan, all the expatriates from India and abroad who have come to Rajasthan to participate in this grand conference, we heartily welcome you to this historic land.
Last year, during his government's first year in office, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit held in Jaipur at the Pravasi Rajasthani Conclave that December 10th would be celebrated annually as Pravasi Rajasthani Day. Following this announcement, this first Pravasi Rajasthani Day is significant and important in itself.
The primary objective of this event is to bring together the Rajasthani diaspora (overseas Rajasthanis) spread across the country and abroad on a single platform and to connect all migrants to their homeland socially, culturally, economically, developmentally, and emotionally. It also aims to connect migrant Rajasthanis with their roots and ensure their participation in the state's development. The enthusiasm of the migrant brothers and sisters for this event is demonstrated by the fact that over 8,700 migrants have registered to participate in this conference.
This is not just an event, but a grand celebration of connecting with our roots, where the fragrance of Rajasthan and the passion of the diaspora are going to create a new history together. The objective of the conference and this bridge of relations will set a new direction for the development of Rajasthan. The objective of the first Pravasi Rajasthani Sammelan is to strengthen the cultural connection with the diaspora, honour the achievements of diaspora Rajasthanis, present new opportunities for investment and development in Rajasthan, connect the younger generation with their original cultural identity, and share with the world the changing image and progress of India and Rajasthan under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Rajasthan government has decided to honor successful Rajasthanis and their organizations living in various states and countries across the country and the world at this conference. Overseas Rajasthanis have left a distinctive mark not only in the country but globally in every field, including business, education, industry, IT, medicine, arts, culture, social service, and politics. This conference is a humble effort to honor their contributions and increase their participation in Rajasthan's future.
Through this conference, the Rajasthan government has highlighted that diaspora Rajasthanis are the state's "brand ambassadors." Wherever they live, they establish Rajasthan's identity, culture, and values globally. This conference sends a message to the diaspora community that Rajasthan remains their home and that they play an important role in every journey of development. Rajasthan's new industrial, MSME, and RIPS policies have significantly simplified the investment process.
With their global experience, expatriate Rajasthanis can establish new industries in sectors such as textiles, gems and jewelry, mining-based industries, construction materials, food processing, and medical equipment. It is hoped that this event will not only enrich the state culturally but also open new avenues for Rajasthan's economy, entrepreneurship, investment, innovation, and social development. It is believed that this conference will inject new energy into Rajasthan's development and awaken the spirit of giving back to their state among expatriate Rajasthanis.
This is not just a program, but a grand celebration of connecting with one's roots. The enthusiasm among expatriates for this event is so great that more than 8,700 expatriates have registered to participate.
