Expensive New Year's plans: Visiting monuments and museums will become more expensive from January 1st

Expensive New Year's plans: Visiting monuments and museums will become more expensive from January 1st. Tickets for Amer Palace will increase from ₹100 to ₹200. Entry to Hawa Mahal and Albert Hall will cost ₹100.

The Rajasthan government has decided to increase the entry fees for protected monuments and museums across the state starting the new year. These new rates will take effect January 1, 2026. This decision will most impact the capital Jaipur's major tourist destinations, including Amer Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Albert Hall, where tourists will now have to pay double the previous ticket fee.

Indian tourists visiting Jaipur's Amer Palace will now have to purchase tickets for 200 rupees instead of 100. The entry fee for Indian students has been fixed at 50 rupees, while foreign tourists will have to pay 1000 rupees for the Amer Palace.

Indian tourists will now have to pay 100 rupees to visit the Hawa Mahal, up from 50. The fee for students will remain 50 rupees, while tickets for foreign tourists will cost 600 rupees. Similarly, the entry fee for Indian tourists to the Albert Hall Museum has been increased from 50 rupees to 100 rupees.

10-day composite ticket scheme also started

Indian tourists will now have to pay 100 rupees for tickets to Nahargarh Fort and Jantar Mantar, while students will be charged 50 rupees. This will make almost all of Jaipur's major historical sites more expensive from the new year.

The government has also introduced an innovative 10-day composite ticket scheme. Under this scheme, a single ticket will allow access to all departmentally protected monuments, museums, and art galleries. The ticket will cost ₹1,300 for Indian tourists, ₹600 for students, ₹5,500 for foreign tourists, and ₹2,800 for foreign students.

One time ticket facility

Jaipur has implemented a one-time ticket for Amer Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Nahargarh, Albert Hall, Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh, Vidyadhar Ka Bagh, and other museums. Indian tourists will be able to visit all the sites for ₹550, students for ₹180, foreign tourists for ₹1700, and foreign students for ₹800.
