New Gallery at RIC… Display Your Art and Sell It

A unique initiative for art exhibition and sale — A huge 2,800 sq. ft. art gallery to start in February

New Gallery at RIC… Display Your Art and Sell It

30% commission will be charged on sales; if not sold, the artwork will be removed after a fixed time

A grand art gallery of about 2,800 square feet is being prepared on the first floor of Rajasthan International Centre (RIC). With this, the centre will formally open its doors to artists from all disciplines. Along with selected artworks from RIC’s collection, artworks by artists from across the country will also be displayed here.

This first-of-its-kind gallery in the state will showcase 25 selected artworks as permanent displays. In the remaining space, artists will be able to organize both solo and group exhibitions. After the gallery starts, artists from fields such as painting, photography, and mixed media will get a common platform.

The RIC campus already has a landscape garden, restaurant, coffee lounge, auditorium, convention centre, conference rooms, lecture rooms, multipurpose halls, and exhibition halls — more than 15 facilities in total. For a long time, art lovers and artists have been demanding an art gallery here. Keeping this in mind, this gallery has been planned and designed.

Hall-3 Developed as Exhibition and Workshop Space

RIC’s Hall-3 has now also been developed as an exhibition hall. Here, along with exhibitions by groups and institutions, large-scale workshops can also be conducted. In the past few months, many big exhibitions and workshops have already been held here.

It is noteworthy that RIC has three large exhibition halls. Earlier, only B2B fairs were permitted here, but now B2C fairs can also be organized.

Art Will Also Be Available for Sale

In the new art gallery, artists can rent space to display their artwork. Both new and established artists will be included. RIC will also provide a platform for selling artworks. A committee formed for this purpose will decide which artworks are suitable for sale.

Selected artworks will be displayed in the gallery for a fixed duration for sale. On sale of the artwork, 30% of the sale amount will be paid to RIC. If the artwork is not sold within the specified time, it will be removed. No additional fee will be charged from artists for this.

Complete Information Available Through QR Code

A QR code will be placed along with each artwork displayed for sale. By scanning it, visitors will be able to see details about the artwork, the artist’s profile, and contact information.

Since exhibitions keep changing from time to time, information about displayed artworks will also be available through this system, so artists will not need to be physically present all the time.

Statement

“At RIC, along with art exhibitions, the facility for selling artworks will also be available. Our team will decide which artwork will be displayed and for how long. The gallery will be open to the public.”
Nihal Chand Goyal, Director, Rajasthan International Centre
