Travel Will Become Easier: Jaipur Police’s Innovation for Tourists

Police ‘Pink Guide App’: Map, Guide & Emergency Help at One Click

To make tourism in the capital safer and more convenient, Jaipur Police is developing a high-tech app. A ‘Pink Guide App’ for both domestic and foreign tourists visiting the city is being prepared and is expected to be launched by the last week of April.

This app will not only provide complete information about major tourist spots in the city but will also ensure safety and immediate assistance. The app will include details of all major tourist attractions in Jaipur, routes to reach them, and real-time traffic conditions.

Additionally, the app will provide a list of registered guides along with their fees, enabling tourists to choose a reliable guide easily.

Action Against Misconduct by Guides:
Police Commissioner Om Prakash stated that the app will allow tourists to report any guide who behaves improperly or charges more than the fixed fee. Complaints can be registered confidentially through the app. If found valid, the concerned guide will be removed from the list and strict action will be taken.

Central Monitoring & Emergency Support:

  • The app will be monitored through an integrated command center at the Police Commissioner level, tracking every activity and enabling immediate response when needed.
  • In case of emergency, tourists will receive information based on their location about the nearest police station, tourist police, helpline numbers, and both government and private hospitals.
  • The app will show traffic conditions in three categories:
    • Red zone: Heavy traffic (suggests alternate routes)
    • Yellow zone: Moderate traffic
    • Green zone: Normal traffic
  • One of the most important features of the app will be an SOS button.

Quote:
“Tourists are the identity and pride of the city. Ensuring their safety and a respectful experience is our priority. That’s why we are introducing the Pink Guide App, so that every tourist has complete information and assistance on their mobile.”
Sachin Mittal, Police Commissioner
