Jaipur Trade Association Submitted Suggestions to the Municipal Commissioner; Markets Will Be Developed According to UNESCO Standards

A Blueprint Will Be Prepared for Every Market in the Pink City; Relief from Encroachment and Parking Issues

The commercial centres and markets of the Pink City will now receive a new identity. A blueprint will be prepared for each market based on its specific needs. Heritage-style entrance gates will be constructed, and attractive name boards will be installed so they are visible from a distance.

On Monday, a delegation of the Jaipur Trade Association, led by President Subhash Goyal and General Secretary Suresh Saini, met the newly appointed Municipal Commissioner Om Kasera at Lal Kothi headquarters. During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the development of markets, encroachment removal, and parking-related problems.

There was also detailed discussion on “micro planning,” ensuring that UNESCO standards are followed in development works so that the city’s heritage remains preserved. Key attendees included Harish Kedia, Neeraj Luhadia (Bapu Bazaar), Ajay Jangid (Vidyadhar Nagar), Suresh Lakhre and Krish Sharma (Sanganer Bazaar), Payam Agarwal (Khazane Walon Ka Rasta), Gulab Chand Shrimali (Choda Rasta), and Faizan Mohammed (Vatika Market), along with other officials.

Markets Will Get a New Identity, Unity, and Beautification Will Increase

At the main entry points of major markets, attractive boards displaying the market names will be installed. This will not only benefit tourists but also enhance unity and beautification across markets.

The Commissioner clarified regarding incorrect tax notices that if any of the 100 ward councilors receive complaints from 300 traders about wrong notices, those cases will be heard properly. Strict action will be taken against agencies showing negligence.

It was also decided that a separate strategy will be developed for each market to address issues related to encroachment and parking, considering their geographical conditions. New “multi-complexes” (multi-level facilities) will be planned for customer convenience.

To make Jaipur number one in cleanliness, the Trade Association and the Municipal Corporation will work together closely.
