CM flagged off the marathon; thousands of runners from Jaipur and 32 countries participated

“It wasn’t the age, it was the spirit of Jaipur that ran”

On Sunday morning in the Pink City, age limits seemed to disappear. From 5-year-old children to 75-year-old seniors, everyone ran with enthusiasm. The common resolve among all participants was to stay healthy.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma flagged off the event and also ran on the track with the participants. This grand opportunity brought thousands of people together. The Jaipur Marathon 2026 started at 3 AM.

CM said – Jaipur is now becoming a center of sports and health

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the AU Jaipur Marathon is not just a sports event, but a festival for Rajasthan. The large participation shows that fitness is becoming part of our lifestyle. Along with Jaipur’s heritage and tourism, it is now emerging as a national hub for sports and health awareness.

Milind Soman boosted the morale

Fitness icon Milind Soman, known for running marathons, participated in the 21 km international half marathon and encouraged the runners. Bollywood actress Ishita Raj also motivated participants at various points.

Two World Records were made

  1. The first world record was set when students of Vivekananda Global University sang Vande Mataram in a group performance — a first for any sports event in the country.
  2. The second world record was created through a science experiment display called “Man – The Centre of Balls”, showcased during the marathon.

Started at 3 AM
