New Zoo of Jaipur at Nahargarh in April



The process to sifted animals from Jaipur Zoo to the new facility in Nahargarh has started. Some animal have already been shifted while the process will continue during the next few days as well.


Sources informed that out of the 4 tigers in the zoo, 2 have been shifted along with 2 panther and a hyena. As a result, currently many cages and enclosures in zoo are empty. The lion, which used to be the main attraction of the zoo, has also been shifted.


Meanwhile, the process to set up the enclosures in the Naharagarh is underway and officials of department of forest inform that they are trying to start the new zoo at Naharagrh by April.


The Nahargarh Centre will be started soon. The arrangements are being made and the process is on and after its completion, only aviaries and reptiles will remain here, said Akansha Chodhary, DFO
