Indulge yourself into the world of great movies this month


The Jaipur is all set to witness some of the masterpieces of Cinema in 16th International Film Festival. The main themes of the festival will be War, Peace, Science and environment. According to the Festival’s Director Hanu Rose, the movies will be screened in Golcha Cinema. The festival will start from 16 May and continue till 22 may. Entry is free and the festival will start from 5 PM daily.

However the entry would be first come first serve basis. The registration is available on the Jiff website. Bhaskar Women club members can get premium pass from City Bhaskar office (timings: 1 PM to 7 PM)

Kajwa: The village still far from modern facilities

"Kajwa" is a movie based on very less known tribal village called "Purushwadi". The village is still far from proper electricity, transpiration and telecommunication. The movie tries to offer a fresh, innovative perspective to look at the whole situation. It emphasizes on adherence to old traditions during the changing times. The film will be screened on 21 May.

Loora: Quaint relation between a girl and trees

This short Spanish movie has duration of 23 minutes. It depicts the story of Lura a young girl who try to befriend the nature. It is about the quaint relation she shared with the old grand trees. The movie is a great treat for nature lovers. It will be screened on 16 May.

Second Chance: A story about our own greed

Second chance is an Indian short movie in which the characters Alisha and children pledged to save the earth. The movie reveals how our greed is stripping the earth of its natural beauty. This 25 minute movie will be screened on 1 May

Stelibig: Strange Consequences of an innocuous meeting

Stelibg is a 7 minute movie from UK. Jude works in a library. One day while searching for certain books she spots an attractive man in the computer. The eyes communicated and the man left the USB on the computer main. The girls took the USB to her house and watched it on her computer. But the contents of the USB left her surprised. The movies is revolves around the events that followed.

Tej: The power of being a female

Tej is an Assamese short movie depicting a story about a Father (Madhuram) who left his infant daughter (Arunima). Fortunately a fisherman found the small girls and took her to his home. Gradually she progressed and assumed the post of a key official in government administration in her own village. The move was also selected in the can movie festival. The movie will be screened on 17t May.

The 23 minute Romanian movie Jdul us a movie about a revolutionary group of young people. The movies will be screened on 21 May

Jweece step forward is an American documentary movie with the length of 112 minutes that will be screened on 20 May.

Utopia is an 83 minute beautiful movie from Afghanistan that blends 3 different stories depicting the loneliness and desertion. It will be screened on 22 May.

Brave Bunch is the story focusing on the people who are unable to survive. It is documentary depicting the struggle of Versa city for achieving freedom from Nazi Germany during Second World War. The movie looks at the whole situation from the perspective of a child. It shows a tale of tragedy and bravery spanning a period of 63 days. This movie from Poland will be screened on 17 May
