Jaipur Police Commission works towards public safety: Plans to reduce accidents in drunk driving


Jaipur Police Commission is going to apply and practice strict measures on people who are found drunk and drunk driving is coupled with driving.
People who are found to drive their vehicles in a drunken state are said to be sent to a jail.

Steps by Jaipur Police Commission for reducing drunken driving accidents:

In a recent incident, an accident took place and the son of a minister who was in a drunk state rode over 3 people ultimately taking their life. Due to this carelessness and other similar acts, 10 lives were taken by drunken driving people.
The Police Commission however has additionally taken measures to ensure the safety of these people. People leaving in a drunken state from the bars, lounges and discos will be assisted with a driver or a taxi.

Making strict plans, putting teams of police officials:

To reduce the cases of such drunk driving and recklessly taking lives of innocent people, the Jaipur Police Commission has devised a strict plan for punishing the people in fault.

Orders to connect with pub and bar managers for cab and taxi services:

Commissioner Praful Kumar has ordered all the Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) and the police officials to connect with the owners/managers of restaurants, bars and discos in their areas and to get the facility of cabs, taxis and drivers arranged for people who head back home after consuming alcohol.

Drunk driving caught: Head straight to the jail – Team of inspectors and police officials

If a person is found to consume alcohol and drive a vehicle, he will be caught by the police and jailed.

Police officials’ team:

For implementing the same and to ensure the strictness of the rule, 3 inspectors along with 6 police officials will be on duty from 09:00 PM to 12:00AM at the restaurants, bars, pubs and the nearby lanes and areas to these.

Surprise checks to be done:

The Jaipur Police Commission had expressed that at the end of every week, the police officials will make a surprise check in the well-known pubs, bars and lounges of the Jaipur city.
A check will also be made in the nearby areas to these well-known pubs, bars and lounges.

Police on duty in night hours:

Police officials will be on duty in these areas from 08:00PM to 02:00 AM to immediately and red handedly catch people who are exiting these pubs and bars in a drunken state.

Female police officers in the team too:

Female police officials are also included for catching the women who leave pubs and bars after drinking and if they plan to drive in such a state.

Pubs and bars and their locations:

Majority of the pubs and bars in the Jaipur city are to the West, East and South of the Jaipur Police Commission.
Three teams of police officials will be placed for maintaining a check at three different areas in the Jaipur city.
In the South side of the city, several police officials will be on duty. Apart from this, police officials will file cases and reports at 25 other police stations.
