Indian Railways in collaboration with IRCTC launched Tiger Express with City of Lakes Udaipur.

The Tiger Express train which was launched for faris in Madhya Pradesh in June 2016 will now get through Rajasthan too. The train’s revised journey to include the state of Rajasthan will cover the City of Lakes Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Ranthambore on its Tiger Express with City of Lakes Circuit in 4 nights and 5 days.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Saturday – Delhi - Udaipur

delhi- Depart from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station at 2:30 p.m.

- Stay overnight on board.

Day 2 – Sunday – Udaipur

- Arrive at Udaipur Railway Station at 9 a.m. in the morning.

- Early morning tea and breakfast on board.

- Sightseeing in Udaipur including Sahelion ki Bari.

- Check-in and lunch at hotel

- Visit City Palace in the afternoon followed by boat ride on Lake Pichola

- Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3 – Monday – Udaipur - Chittorgarh

- Morning breakfast at hotel at 07:30 a.m.

- Drive to Chittorgarh via Nathdwara post breakfast

- Lunch at hotel

- Sightseeing including Chittorgarh Fort, Tower of Victory - Vijay Stambh, Tower of Fame - Kirti Stambh, Rana Kumbha Palace, Padmini Palace, Meera Temple, Kalika Mata Temple and the Seven Gates of the Fort.

- Evening tea and free time for leisure activities

- Transfer to Chittorgarh Raliway Station for departure to Sawai Madhopur

- Dinner and overnight stay onboard

Day 4 – Tuesday – Sawai Madhopur – Ranthambore National Park

- Arrive at Sawai Madhopur Railway Station at 4 a.m.

- Proceed early morning for jungle safari by canter at Ranthambore National Park.

- Post safari transfer to hotel for breakfast and check in.

- Check out after lunch

- Proceed for afternoon safari by canter at Ranthambore

- Subsequent transfer to Railway Station for departure at 8 p.m.

- Dinner and overnight stay onboard

Day 5 – Wednesday – Delhi

- Arrive Delhi in morning hours

- Additional surcharge of Rs.1,500 per person will be charged from Foreigners due to currency conversion and additional monument charges.

- Additional surcharge of Rs.5,500 per person would be applicable for confirmed 2 seater coupe/ cabin (one upper + one lower berth) in AC First Class.

- Additional surcharge of Rs.18,000 would be applicable for confirmed allocation of one lower berth only in a 2 seater First Cabin. One upper berth would not be allocated to other passengers.

- Single occupancy would not be applicable for onboard travelling.

- The tour shall be operational only upon IRCTC receiving minimum number of passengers to make the package viable.
