Dancers from Jaipur Earning Fame in Mumbai; Parks Become their New Practice Arena

Excerpts of conversation and notes from the dancer and choreographer Vijendra Kumar from Dance India Dance television reality show

Passion surpasses facilities or its deficiency

There is no dearth of talented youngsters and people in India. It has been a very common sight to see that youngsters and kids in the city of Mumbai living with their families do not have all the needed facilities to take forward and practice their passion, but seeing their passion and dedication for what they admire the most has charmed everyone in the country.

The highlight here is for dance as a hobby which became a passion amongst many. It has been noticed that there are children in the Mumbai who come from far off places in the city, just to practice their passion in the parks and on the beaches of the city. All these lead to a high degree of motivation amongst the practitioners when they deliver performances at the International level.

Dancers from the city of Jaipur earning name and fame in Mumbai

Jaipur dancers are making and have made a very special in the tinsel town Bollywood. I personally believe that there are no special facilities required to learn dancing. There are a lot of choreographers who have proved their talent merely because of their skills. Renowned choreographers have marked a name in Bollywood.

The world and its common space is a stage for the dancer

Dance and dancing has always been a passion for me. A passionate dancer incessantly thinks about dancing. His life and his mind continuously revolve around dancing solely. This passion is the reason why a dancer takes dancing with him always, the world is a stage to a dancer.

The roads or the parks, the dancer owns it

A road, a public park or the roof top of a house, a dancer finds and sees his stage in all of these. A dancer must exclusively focus on staging the best of his performance only. Street dancers are one of the best dancers when they give performances for they are the last ones to be hesitant in the public while dancing.

Cold public glances:

When a dancer goes to a public park for his practice, people who come for a walk or stroll in the park give glances to the dancers. I myself have done similar kind of practice for dancing.

Open spaces fill a dancer with confidence:

Practicing for dance in open spaces gives you abundant confidence and gives you a view of a full stage too which in future helps a performer in stage dancing. However dancers must have a sharp mind and must be flexible in performing in a minimal possible space too. Practicing for dance is a common practice that can be seen nowadays in the public parks. Dancers can be seen doing a split pose or a flip in air and other similar postures.

Dancers from Nala Sopara are seen in abundance practicing and dancing on the beaches on Mumbai. Some of these are people who have staged performances on an international level.

Intensive evaluation:

A lot of challenges are being faced in the field of dancing nowadays. It is not merely the performance of the performer that is being judged. The physical strength of a performer is also evaluated.

Jaipur and Mumbai – Own rhythm of dancers:

On a similar note where dancers are seen performing in Mumbai on the beaches, dancers in the Pink City Jaipur have parks for practicing where stages are built. Dancers are polishing their dancing skills here by practicing in groups. All this is done keeping in mind the performances that need to be given in television reality shows.
