The only thing constant is change. With the fast pace with which times are changing, it is a must for one to flex themselves in accordance to the modern world’s needs and practices. Such is an observation in the media and journalism facet on the world.

Festival dates and venue:

The Talk Journalism Media Festival - The Vox Foundation Initiative, is a platform which is dated to take place on July 30 - 31, 2016 at the Fairmont Hotel situated on the Delhi Road in the Jaipur city.

Bringing together media and journalist aficionados:

The methods for reporting of and by the media and their security that is changing over time are some highlights which are proposed to be discussed in the festival taking place.

‘The Talk Journalism Media Festival’ is going to serve as a platform to bring together the journalists from different spaces over the country under a single roof.

A session that goes by the name ‘State Of Stringers’ will be held mainly to focus and discuss on the problems faced by the stringers.

Defining stringers:

May it be known that stringers are newspaper correspondents or journalists who are retained on a part-time basis and are not the regular staff of an organisation (in the media industry) to report on events and write stories in a particular place for the concerning newspaper.

Sessions focussing on journalism and its facets:

  • Another session that will be organised in the ‘The Talk Journalism Media Festival’ will be ‘Are We A Safe Country For Journalists?’
    This session is expected to highlight and bring forth various things and aspects associated with the life and work of a journalist.
  • Another session yet again for the journalists will be a light on the topic ‘Does Independence In Journalism Have A Future?’The session is a talk on advocacy and journalism.
  • ‘Investigative Journalism’, the session will be a talk on the the fade of the investigative approach of journalism in present times.
