A large data center will be built in Jaipur. Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced this on Tuesday. He said, "The groundbreaking ceremony will be held soon." Vaishnav also said that 5,000 youth will be trained through Laghu Udyog Bharti.

Vaishnav was addressing the AI ​​Impact Conference, held at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC) as part of the Rajasthan Digifest TIE Global Summit 2026. The theme of the event was "AI – accessible to all, for all."

Ashwini Vaishnav said, "A program to train 1 million youth in Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills has been launched today in Rajasthan. Its benefits will accrue not only to Rajasthan but to all youth across the country."

India ranked among the top three countries in the Stanford AI Index. Ashwini Vaishnav said, "India has been ranked among the top three countries in the Artificial Intelligence Index released by Stanford University. This index identifies China, the United States, and India as the world's leading countries for AI innovation, use, development, and research. He said that in the future, people around the world will turn to these countries for AI-related studies, research, and innovation."

Vaishnav said that India's IT industry is a major strength of the country's economy, and Rajasthan plays a significant role in it. It is essential to prepare this industry for the new era and new technologies. He said that just as large-scale work has been done in the past in the fields of mobile, internet, 5G, and semiconductors, AI will now be scaled at the same pace and scale, so that the country can become even more technologically strong.

Everyone will use AI like a mobile phone. Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada said, "The scale of India's digital infrastructure has reached in such a short time is a result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary thinking. It is because of the central government's policies that major companies like Google and Microsoft have decided to invest in AI."

Jitin Prasada said that AI is a technology that people hadn't even imagined before. Today, there's a mobile phone in every village, in every hand. Similarly, AI is rapidly becoming a part of people's lives.

He said that AI will not be limited to large cities or elite individuals, but its benefits will reach even the last mile of society. This will also create new employment opportunities.
