Pink Fest begins today; a confluence of heritage, literature, and culture will be seen

Theme: “Weaving the fabric of Indian cultural heritage”
A three-day event will be organized around this theme.

The International Festival of Culture, Community, and Creativity — Pink Fest — will begin on Friday. The event will start at 11 AM and will showcase literature and culture on one platform, along with heritage.

During the three-day fest, various sessions will feature authors, public speakers, artists, and musicians from across the country. Along with talk sessions, there will be cultural dialogues, art exhibitions, art film screenings, workshops, live sessions, and heritage walks. Pink City and classical performances will also be part of the fest.

The founder director of Pink Fest, Sarjana Talukdar, shared that on the first day there will be a “Tana Bana Cultural Walk,” followed by an art exhibition and cultural performances from 3 PM onwards.

Two One-Act Plays to be Staged Today

In the evening from 6 PM, two one-act plays will be staged. During the day, from 2 PM, there will be Nrityam (a dance event) and a Sufi music party session.

Various groups from the city will present their art. On this occasion, a Street Shringar – Dasta of Youth event will also be organized. This will include a display of pink films and the pink city’s art and culture through a tabletop showcase.

Students from local art institutes will also present their performances. Youth promoting art will be awarded annual scholarships of up to ₹50,000.

Institutions such as Shanti Niketan, Banaras Hindu University, and MSU Baroda, along with their alumni and representatives, will participate in the event.

Artists from Russia, Brazil, and six other countries will also showcase their art at the festival.
