Traffic in the walled city markets will be improved; agreement reached on installing high-quality cameras, increasing patrols, and starting a night market.


A meeting was held on Monday at Kotwali police station regarding market security and traffic arrangements. Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal met with traders. The Jaipur Trade Federation discussed law and order, business security, and coordination between police and traders, and suggested launching special campaigns to strengthen security.

Present at the meeting were Special Commissioner Satyaprakash, Additional Commissioner Dr. Rajiv Pachar, DCP Karan Sharma, Additional DCP Bajrang Singh, and trader representatives including President Subhash Goyal, General Secretary Suresh Saini, Executive President Harish Kedia, Manter Singh, Amit Joshi, Gulab Chand, Prakash Singh, Rajendra Gupta, and others.

Trade Federation President Subhash Goyal said a committee will be formed to coordinate between police and traders, and meetings will be held monthly and quarterly to address issues.

For technical monitoring, high-quality CCTV cameras will be installed in major markets. There was also agreement to connect cameras to the command center. Awareness campaigns will be conducted to educate traders and visitors about traffic rules, and security guards will be deployed in markets.

To improve movement and parking, rules for e-rickshaws and auto-rickshaws will be enforced, multi-level parking will be used, and strict action will be taken against illegal parking.

After removing encroachments, measures will be taken to prevent them from returning. Suggestions were made to strengthen security at markets and tourist spots, increase police patrols, and promote night markets.
