Indian Riders have set off on a bike ride from Singapore to Jaipur!


On 15th August, 2016, the Indian Independence Day, Indian riders have set off on a bike ride all the way from Singapore to Jaipur. These riders will travel through 5 countries’ highways to reach Jaipur in 20 days. This ride has been named as the Great Independence Day Ride.

The ride, which has started on India’s Independence Day from Singapore will come to an end on the coming Teachers’ Day on September 5, 2016. During this journey the riders will complete around 5,000 km adventure road trip. The riders group includes Jaipur’s Bhanu Pratap Singh, Harkirat Singh, Nikhil Kashyap and Mumbai’s Vikram Mehta.

Indian riders on the Great Independence Day Ride

Indian bikers from the team of the Great Independence Day Ride will ride on the Asian Highway No. 2 of 5 south Asian countries. The purpose of this ride is to promote culture and tourism amongst these countries. During this ride, more tourism and travel gateways will be explored. Rider Nikhil told that Singapore’s Indian Embassy did the flag off for their ride. The riders will cross Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar before entering India. The riders will follow Myanmar’s India-Myanmar Friendship Road to enter India at Mizoram. From Mizoram there ride would move towards Nagaland, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Bihar, Delhi before reaching Jaipur.
