Terrorist Intrusion at Jal Mahal, Jaipur – Another Security Check by NSG

After the mock drill MGF Mall and Central Secretariat, NSG commando team performed a mock drill of pervasive intrusion of terrorists at Jal Mahal. More than 300 soldiers, fire brigade, ATS’ QRT team, BDS and Traffic Police came into form to combat the terrorists.

Reason behind this mock drill

This mock drill was organized because of the carelessness of soldiers. It had become necessary to perform a security check. NSG team performed a security check at MGF Mall, Secretariat and then at the tourism site – Jal Mahal.

300 Soldiers Reached the Site

Police Control Room received the information about terrorist intrusion at Jal Mahal. They were also informed that the terrorists have captured some tourists at the site. The Police Control Room forwarded this information to the Commissionerate. Within half an hour of this, a total of more than 300 soldiers including officers from the ATS, BDS, fire brigade, ambulance, administration and police from 7 police stations in Jaipur reached Jal Mahal.

The Selfie

At the time when the teams were struggling to combat the intrusion, an officer from the Jaipur Police Commissionerate sent group photo and a selfie of the team at Jal Mahal pole. The picture shows commandoes in full form and attitude with arms in their hands and determined to combat the intruders with that strict look, but all this just for a photograph. Some cadets were eating corn (bhutta) while some were drinking tea.

Green Corridor Created 3 Times

The Traffic Police of Jaipur created Green Corridors to help the NSG team reach Jal Mahal. They created a Green Corridor from Vaishali Nagar to Jal Mahal. After this, another Green Corridor was created to make the ambulance and fire brigade reach the site. And then a different corridor was made to send the fake terrorists to the site.

Third Mock Drill in 2 Days

NSG team conducted 3 mock drills in 2 days. This one at the Jal Mahal was their third mock drill done to check security of the tourism site. Their first mock drill was conducted at a mall – the MGF Mall at Bais Godam, the second was done at a government office – the Central Secretariat and the third on this tourism site – Jal Mahal.

These mock drills helped in identifying the loopholes in the security of the places. After the mock drills, security has been tightened at all 3 places.
