Procession at 2 PM; Avoid Going Inside the Old City (Parakota) Until 12 Midnight

Due to the Ram Navami procession on Wednesday, traffic arrangements inside the walled city (Parakota) have been modified. Traffic Inspector Yogesh Goyal said that the procession will begin from Surajpole Anaj Mandi and pass through Surajpole Gate, Surajpole Market, Ramganj Chaupar, Ramganj Bazaar, Badi Chaupar, Johari Bazaar, Sanganeri Gate, Bapu Bazaar, New Gate, Chhoti Chaupar, Tripolia Gate, Tripolia Bazaar, and will conclude at the Shri Ramchandra Ji Temple located in Chandpole Bazaar.

Traffic diversions will be in effect from 2 PM to 12 midnight. Routes along the procession path will be closed 15 minutes before the procession reaches them, and traffic will be diverted to alternate routes.

Key Traffic Changes:

  • Traffic coming from Galta Gate Chowk towards Ramganj Chaupar will be diverted via Transport Nagar towards Delhi Road.
  • Traffic from Ghatgate Bazaar and Char Darwaza heading toward Ramganj Chaupar will be diverted through Surajpole Gate, Ghatgate intersection, and towards Chandi Ki Taksal.
  • Before the procession reaches Badi Chaupar, traffic from Sanganeri Gate and Ramganj Mode will be diverted towards SMS Road via Chaupar.
  • Before entering Bapu Bazaar, traffic from New Gate towards Bapu Bazaar will be completely restricted.
  • Before reaching Tripolia Gate, traffic from Badi Chaupar and Chhoti Chaupar towards Tripolia T-point will be stopped.
  • Similarly, traffic will be restricted and diverted on other required routes as per the situation.
