Palace on Wheels is a train that reminds one of the royalties and the bounty of the regal background of the rulers and majestic kings. A Palace on Wheels journey is one that remains with you long after the experience itself. The Maharaja way of royal living, rediscover the romance of Royal Rajasthan aboard India's revered luxury train. The train is equipped with 23 royal coaches which boast of extravagance inside out.

Coaches smell of lavishness and nothing less:

The coaches of the train have been designed to lend luxury to the travellers and let them taste of royalty that drips from every nook and corner of the train, its coaches, its services and more.

Palace on Wheels has undergone refurbishment which speaks of new decor, itinerary and cuisine.

Journey season for Palace on Wheels instigates:

The season where Palace on Wheels begins to take on its rides has begun. The first ride that the train will make will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. The train will commence its ride from New Delhi on Wednesday in the evening at 18:30 PM and will reach the Pink City on Thursday, September 8, 2016 early in the morning.

Seating capacity, seats booked and more:

Holding a capacity to accommodate 104 passengers, the first round of the Palace on Wheels will run carrying 40 passengers. Other seats which amount to 64 in number out of 104 have been left vacant.

Journey time, last year passenger stats:

The first round of the train will go on for a period of 7 days (1 week). In the last season when Palace on Wheels undertook its journey, it gave a royal ride experience to 1744 passengers.
Last year, Palace on Wheels had a total of 1763 passengers of national and international nature.

Fare charges to travel in the Palace on Wheels:

  • The fare for experiencing a plush travel in the Palace on Wheels train is 600US dollars per person per night.
  • A charge of 450 US dollars is chargeable per person per night if tickets for travelling in the Palace on Wheels are booked for 2 people together.
  • 410 US dollars is chargeable per person per night when tickets to travel in the Palace on Wheels are booked for 3 people together.
  • A discount of 25 per cent is offered in the fare for travelling in the months of September and April.
